The Weekend Fashion Experience recognizes young fashion designers, students from the major national and international fashion schools: La Cambre Mode(s) (Brussels), the Modeacademie van Antwerpen, Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design (London), ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (the Netherlands). Their collections are shown to the general public, who, at the same time can find out more about the world of fashion via workshops, shootings, talking to the stylists ...

This is the biggest fashion event in Belgium, both for professionals and for the general public. The winner receives 10,000 euros and extensive media coverage in the Knack Weekend and Le Vif Weekend magazines. The jury is made up of a range of well-known names from the fashion world. Since 2003 these have included Lapo Elkann, Ann Demeulemeester, Diane Von Furstenberg, Véronique Branquino, Edouard Vermeulen, A-F Vandervorst, Nathalie Rykiel....
